Approach

I live just outside New Orleans with my three children, two kittens and more cameras than anyone strictly needs. Over ten years of photographing weddings here has taught me that the best pictures are the ones nobody had to arrange.

My style is photojournalistic, romantic and natural. Mostly I hang back and let the day happen, stepping in now and then to give you an action or a feeling rather than a pose. Natural light only, digital and 35mm film side by side, and colour kept true to what was actually in the room.

Weddings are for everyone. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally, always, and I believe every couple should get to celebrate exactly the way they want. Bring me the messy and the weird and the grit, it is what makes the pictures worth keeping.
